From the adventure notes of Danas, hero of Kania
To begin, I shall tell you of my native allod -- Kvatokh.
Our land is beautiful, there is no denying it. Here you have green meadows, and dense forests, and bottomless lakes, and high mountains. Everything is found here.
But first and foremost, our capital city is also named Kvatokh. It has simply come to be that way. Why do the allods bear such names? They are named in honour of the towers of the Great Mages who hold these lands. And our tower was named after the city in which it stands. And the city itself was named after the king who founded it. To be sure, there is one detail -- formerly everyone said Kvator, but now they say Kvatokh.
Thus it was -- there was king Kvator, the founder of the city. The city is now called Kvatokh, within it stands the tower of Rachl-Kvatokh, and around it lies the allod of Kvatokh. I hope you have not become lost in the telling.
Kvatokh, our city, is beautiful in every respect. Besides the tower of Tenses, a palace stands within it -- Schlägerlogt. This wondrous name, which not everyone can pronounce, translates from the elven tongue in some manner, though exactly how, I have somewhat forgotten. Nearby stand the noble chambers, those of the merchants and the craftsmen, and further beyond the walls lie the settlements and gardens.
We have only one large city. Our people do not care for living in cities, yet there are countless villages on Kvatokh. Little Oaks, Deep Navels -- everything is here. Indeed, I myself grew up in such a village.
For the most part, the western side of the allod is settled. There, most of the forests were cleared for farmland long ago. Each noble estate is called an udel -- there is the Zalessky udel, the Seversky udel, and the Nezhinsky udel, each held by its own family line. These udels are separated from one another by hills, or mountains, or at the very least, by roads.
In the center of the allod we have many lakes -- Lake Blue, and Lake Cold, and Lake White, and Lake Muddy -- to suit every taste and colour. On the shores of the largest lake, the capital stands.
To the east of them lie less populated lands -- here we have forests where people go for game and timber. There are many different woods -- both Berestyanka and the Resin Forest. Quite few people live there, only a couple of villages. Yet through Berestyanka runs the road to the Valirsky appanage, where the imperial country estate is located and where the king takes his rest. From his estate, the road leads to Zagorye, and those parts are truly wild.
Although there are even more untamed lands to the north. There we find the Siveria region, cold as Ingos, where only orcs and goblins dwell. In times past, they would emerge from Siveria, pass through Berestyanka, and commit their robberies, but now they have been suppressed, so they dare not show their faces here. To be fair, no one ventures into their lands yet either.
Such is Kvatokh now -- rich and vast. Our people are not overly burdened by taxes, and so we live without sorrow.
Kvatokh
The capital allod of Kania, and also of the League. The acting Great Mage is Aidenus, successor to Skarkan.
Kvatokh consists of several regions. The biggest are: Svetolesiye (Lightwood), Syveria, New Land, Temnovodiye (Darkwater).
Lightwood is a temperate zone in summer, with many forests and meadows. Here lies Novograd, the capital of the League, along with the astral shipyard, port, and resource extraction sites for stone and timber.
Syveria is the northern frontier, marked by the swift Vertysh River, along whose banks stand wintry forests.
