Pyotr of St. Pigeons (Petya, Fives), a half-orc co-founder of the Sparrowhawks. He was found on veranda, just like Kostya and Dima. He is the raging muscle of the gang - too quick to act, rash, unthinking. Pyotr will leap into things without hesitation, and will die for his friends. His half-blood status is a sore point; trying to be a "perfect orc", he hates when his heritage is mentioned and ignites with fury when slurs are thrown.

Konstantin of St. Pigeons (Kostya, Kostik, Kost), co-founded the Sparrowhawks alongside Pyotr and remains its restless heart, infinitly pumping crazy ideas. Abandoned as an infant and never given a surname, Kostya carved out his identity through sheer will and charisma. He is calm under pressure, reckless when it suits him, and relentless when he wants something. Kostya dreams big - of freedom, of notoriety, of becoming a bandit lord feared and admired in equal measure. Behind the swagger lies a sharp mind and a fearless streak that borders on self-destructive. In his friends' eyes, he is brave, cocky and loyal. To everyone else, he's an overambitious cocky little shit.

Alexandra Akhatova (Sasha, Alya), is the one who turns Sparrowhawks' suicadal ideas into something that might actually work. She’s sneaky, cunning and clever. Even sly. She’s a natural with alchemy.

Aleksei Kovalenko (Lesha, Leshka, Lyoha), is the youngest and the newest of the Sparrowhawks. He wet his bed until 10 years, is dreamy, stammered and feeble. They say he has some slowly developing muscle degrading disease that no one knows how to prevent. The biggest scapegoat among the orphans. Aleksei is a genius in mana-tech, unmatched for his age. He builds things no other kid would even think about.

Dmitry of St. Pigeons (Dima, Dimka, Dimon), is a shy, scaredy, tiny-built minotaur with comically small, antelope-sized horns. He was found one morning, left on the orphanage veranda, so he was given a Hadaganian name. Quiet and awkward, Dmitry rarely speaks unless spoken to. He’s indecisive, soft-footed, and often overlooked - but the gang knows better. He possess a strong bond with animals, especially birds, and has a friend raven, which isn't allowed indoors, so it lives somewhere near the orphanage and always sticks around Dima when the latter is out on the streets. Dmitry is dead-accurate with a sling, able to knock a tin can off a fence at thirty paces.
