Harpies

Harpies

Like Lamias, Harpies are a race without males. Unlike their serpentine counterparts, however, harpies are winged — with large, leathery wings, bird-like talons, and long tails. Their human-like faces and torsos often unsettle travelers, particularly as most harpies wear no clothing.
Their primary weapon is their ear-piercing, deafening scream, capable of disorienting prey. Otherwise, they remain a primitive and barbaric species, known for theft and scavenging — stealing food, valuables, and household goods from other races.
Some harpies are more cunning than others, capable of rudimentary speech and manipulation. Without males of their own, they have been known to seduce outsiders… for reasons best left unspoken.
