At these words, even the bravest warrior of the League or the toughest soldier of the Empire feels a chill of fear grip their heart. These terrifying creatures from the depths of the Astral exist only to spread death, chaos, and destruction. Their origins remain one of the greatest mysteries of Sarnout, a puzzle that has long occupied the minds of its wisest sages. However, one thing is certain — their primary targets are the Great Mages of humans and elves, the protectors of the allods who shield them from being consumed by the Astral.

Little is truly known about the nature of these demons. What is certain is that they dwell deep within the Astral, drawing their very life force from it. Outside of the Astral, they can only survive for a short time — cut off from their source of energy, they weaken and become more vulnerable to attack. Most of these creatures lack higher intelligence, for their very nature is destruction and slaughter.

On the battlefield, their tactics are brutally straightforward, relying on sheer numbers and overwhelming force.

The most terrible of known Astral demons are the Astral Devils, Arch-Devils and Leviathans – the latter only inhabit the Ultra-abyss layer of the Astral, and can easily swallow the biggest Imperial Man-o-War.
