Full membership in the Free Merchants’ Guild costs 48 golden imperials, payable annually in advance to prove a merchant's solvency. Members must also pay a Naval Levy of 1.5% to 15% (based on the risk) on their cargo value per voyage.

Benefits:

• Full legal protection under the Artel Lex Mercatoria;

• 50% compensation for the lawful loss of registered cargo due to shipwreck, piracy, or Astral peril, except where such protection is forfeit under ART. XXIII and ART. XXXIII of the Naval Law;

• The right to use secure Guild warehouses;

• Exemption from extraordinary taxes and tolls as established by ART. II of the Commercial Law;

• Access to exclusive trade channels and special commissions that allow a merchant to treat a Settlement as two levels higher for the Earn Income activity.
