Aegis Archive

“Record. Remember. Release with care.”

Field scribes, lore keepers, and custodians of risky finds. They collect testimonies, maps, and relics, then hold anything dangerous until there is a clear, proven need. Access is earned by adding to the Archive and by following its rules.

History

The Archive began as many small records kept inside isolated vaults. Families and stewards maintained ledgers, birth and death tallies, seed inventories, and oral histories. After the Return, custodians compared notes and harmonized catalogs. A cross settlement repository took shape. Today the Aegis Archive preserves what survived and decides what may safely circulate.

Structure

  • Headland Hold is the most protected reliquary and the administrative headquarters.

  • Regional halls in larger towns handle intake, loans, and research.

  • Roles: Archivists maintain catalogs, Field Scribes gather records, Curators manage holdings and loans, Quartermasters run intake and quarantine.

Values

Patience. Accuracy. Chain of custody. Public trust.
