"By my bush and beard!! Whosoever shall walk amongst our Faire Courts shall dance and commune, by the sun of Molimai, I will it!!" -- Father Dagudos, The Oak & Holly King

Description

This court can be found deep inside the Haven Woods, and is considered by many to be more extroverted, outgoing, and more likely to help entire communities out. However, what they ask for in exchange can vary wildly, refusing normal coinage & financial gain, instead asking for full names, memories, even relationships. Most faefolk whos origins lie here also mimic their court, and the portal to enter is generally open to anyone, perhaps -too- open, as many people who wander into the Haven Woods somehow end up here on a regular basis, never quite returning the same way again. The ruling courts consist of the following archfey:

The Seelie Court Rulers:

Father Dagudos / The Oak King

Known far and wide as “The Other Horned King”, generally 12 feet tall with a large, rotund belly, wielding a large staff, antlers like eternal spring branches, enormous, decorated beard & wearing nothing but a tunic made from an animal hide, Father Dagudos is always jovial & vivacious with a smile on his face, he accepts all offerings, but his particular favorites are either large, hearty cooked meals made from either game animals or from bountiful harvests, ale in saturated flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg or pumpkin, or even an offering of flesh from any adult of any gender of any lineage, as his libido can be as enormous as he is.

Aengus / The Lover's Gain

Father Dagudos’ transmasc son who is one of the few fully hybrid of fae & common folk solely via genetics, as his egg donor was a mortal AFAB, who had passed shortly after the time of dragons. He now serves as a diplomatic ambassador between the seelie court & the mundane world of Amor, and notifies his father of any news to report. While he can appear in most any humanoid form, his main visage is usually a skinny elven-like common folk with medium to long black hair & diamond-colored eyes. Similar to his father, he has also been intimate with many mortals, however any offspring from him are not considered fae, but may have fae-like traits as a commonfolk, such as uncommon eye-colors, ears & tail of a specific animal or be naturally born with tattoo-like patterning on their skin.

Nymphia - The Alaryed Queene

The overseer of the all flying faefolk, and nibbling (NB niece) of Tegid Foel, they are the ambassador between the seelie & unseelie courts, with three pairs of wings & their hair puffy & cloud-like. Also asexual, they usually tend to their own devices.

Granny Syrinx - The Old Goat

The feminine “Queen of satyrs” overseeing music, dance, theatre, and all semi-animalistic creatures such as goblins, bugbears, ipotane, faun & hinnyjacks as well as muses & nymphs; faefolk famously known for inspiring dramatic works of art. As the primary spouse to Father Dagudos, she’s able to keep him satiated with her instrumentation (in fact the syrinx instrument is named after her) in times of conflict.

Thaumas - The Duke of Waves

Father of Arke, and the lord of Pisceans & mermars, he is the love child of both Elvaren & Molimai’s first encounter. Father Dagudos’ other masculine consort. While he doesn’t have as much control over rivers & seas as Elvaren, he remains on standby in the event something happens to her, the tides or even the three moons of Amor. Easily recognized by having small crab claws in lieu of regular horns.

Arke - The Princess of Sympathies

Patroness of emotions & daughter of Thaumas. Considered to be next in line for the seelie court throne, she’s quick to assume the worst, but also quick to assume the best whenever someone is vulnerable.

Origin

Originally created with the Unseelie as a countermeasure to the rise of Dragons in the Foregone Era, The Fae courts were tasked to create discreet havens dragons would simply be unable to ever find, with the Seelie choosing what is now the Haven Woods. While Molimai has the final say in all matters, he chose aspects of things He cared about to create into ancient, sentient beings to oversee His favorites. These court rulers are free to do as they please, so long as they do not physically hurt anyone or tamper with any mortal's free will, even those they have been chosen to watch over.

Routine

Every fifty years, the Seelie Court will gather to discuss various current events & if anything or anyone needs to be addressed, followed by a week-long party wherein each ruler's chosen few, are invited to gather and interact with the fae courts. The rest of the time, these rulers are free to do as they wish.
