Introduction
Roe’wyn is the newest god of the Amorian pantheon of the arcane, essence, esoteric knowledge, the earth, flora, theatre, fairs & fortunes.
Description
As not only the first god to ascend from mortality, his appearance is still that of his former, mortal self; an older, skinny & frail bugbear with various patches of hair and fur. Wearing glasses, a purple & yellow waistcoat, red pants and a mint-green undershirt.
Personality
As a newer god, he is his own person, and retains more of his mortal self than how he was before; Scraggly, scrawny & timid, but very intelligent and with a kind & gentle heart. He is still adjusting to his new immortal role.

Lineage
As Roe’wyn is the first god both ascended from mortality and fully reincarnated, he is essentially two beings in one: the reincarnation of the former arcane god Syprian, and Uvel Dallavthos, a former bugbear noble who was able to politically merge the cobalt & auburn isles into one allied country after decades of strife.
Posessions
he original Amorous Amignificarum - the original copy, said to hold not only every spell ever made, but documentation of time from Amor’s inception to the end of the time of dragons.
Realm
While he is able to appear anywhere, his main home is in the Roe’wynla woods, named after him and his birthplace. Due to his dominion over fauna, any climate with plentiful vegetation is more likely to attract him. It is also said that anytime a fair, festival or theatrical event occurs, Roe’wyn sits in the audience.
Relations
Daolyn - Roe’wyn sees him as both a mentor and a father figure, and will often work in tandem with each other; whatever Roe’wyn wishes to know, Daolyn will introduce to him, wherein Roe’wyn can then add his own magic.
Molimai/Klazoa - as they often commingle by association, Roe’wyn looks up to him, and at times, watches over other faefolk in his stead for no other reason than platonic admiration. He remains unaware of Molimai’s feeling towards him.
Animage/hephershtu - Being an aggressive god, Roe’wyn will often keep his distance from him. He wishes he could introduce glyphs & sigils to him and his devotees, but so far, it’s still both a work in progress, and Animage has little interest in arcane magic altogether.
Elvaren - As to be expected, and especially during the Arghans moon, these two genuinely enjoy each other’s company. Due to Roe’wyn’s asexuality however, in lieu of blessings easily tangible, essence is heightened all over Amor & those who have had trouble learning magic are able to learn another spell or two. Forests, shrubery & the general flora become more hardy & bloom in-season for longer than normal. Crops double & ripen under the Arghans Moon (Auburn moon).
Nizoa - In the same way a herpetologist finds reptiles fascinating, Roe’wyn is both intrigued and terrified of her. Whenever they do interact, he’s always bewildered at her not merely wanting to eat him.
Syprian - Roe’wyn is strangely unaware of his previous reincarnation & everything that was performed as Syprian. All he’s aware of is that he was Syprian in a past life, but due to his mortal body’s flaws, he almost always forgets any information given to him about his history, even when written down.
Worship & Origins
Prior to his ascension, his mortal body was that of Uvel Dallavthos, a former bugbear noble and politician who had singlehanded organized the cobalt & auburn isles settlements with its own governmental system in place. Considering his leadership, he was already a well-respected figure by most people’s. On his deathbed, he was visited by Daolyn, who gave him new life in the former Dallavthos woods by combining both Uvel’s soul, and the remnants left of Syprian’s soul. Mages, Druids specializing in working with the land, and herbalists are able to easily receive luck and blessings by simply uttering his name. Most shops specializing in magical wares such as apothecaries & alchemist shops hold a smaller version of his shrine the store has access to at any time.
Holidays
The Runestone Procession - at every new Arghans moon, noble mages & their entourages will travel to Roe’wynla forest & parade several glyphs & sigils representing the five stones of Caderan, as a way to remind Roe’wyn of his previous origins and his past life.
Mage’s Day - about 15 days after the arghans moon, a competition between mages occurs in the sister city of Condlae to not only showcase and highlight new spells, but to have them judged and ranked. Mage duels are also held here with a grand prize of the title of Grand Magus; Condlae’s Royal wizard, with all the perks included such as legal title, property, and even a lab to create more spells.
Practice of Faith
“Oh ho go,splendid work!! Now I must take my leave, but be sure to leave me a plate of your next meal!” - Roe'wyn, any time he is summoned for help.
It is said that to merely say his name is to invoke his presence within the area, as he has the capacity to work with up to hundreds of people individually at once. To invite him into a specific magical practice, such as placing a small shrine in your work area or grounds, is said to invite him in to help others. In exchange for assisting, he asks for a plate of the devotee’s next meal, a seat reserved for him at the next show in attendance, or a trinket from a festival. Most theaters will leave one seat reserved for him, taverns and inns will leave unattended meals near his shrine, and more local, stationary shrines will have random items left for him somewhere on the structure itself.
Temples
Unlike the majority of the pantheon, Roe’wyn’s places of worship are small, intricate shrines scattered all over the lands of Amor; usually a boulder about the size of a doorway, carved in several glyphs & sigils to help channel essence to his followers. Each boulder is tied with a large hemp rope and has an intricate roof hovering overtop it (usually purple, but any color can be used). Those who need blessings and spiritual items may consecrate them at these stones, provided a small libation & one good deed performed for someone beforehand. It is also rumored that some shrines at certain times of the year may also commune to Roe’wyn directly, though this has been sporadic, because of these moments, it is also believed these shrines are also the eyes and ears of Roe’wyn as well.
