Introduction

The original arcane god of arcane, essence, esoteric knowledge and nature, who sacrificed himself to help end the time of dragons & bring Amor into the present era.

Physical Description

Both mammalian and otherworldly, with very lapine & feline traits such as auburn colored fur, large ears, a mane, nose & whiskers, claws, a long bushy tail and digigrade legs. However, he dones four arms, antlers, cheek markings reminiscent of a mandrill & in lieu of normal eyes, has one large eye overtaking his forehead, leaving only darkness where his eyes should be.

Personality

A tad conceited, but generous, giving and creative. He was willing to help out anyone in need of studying magic or the natural world.

Powers

The original arcane god of magic, essence, nature and the delicate balance of both in tandem.

Death

Before the time of dragons, Syprian had begun to notice something ominous; dragons had figured out how to harness magic faster than any other group, and as a way to prevent them from using magic to assert permanent dominance over all of Amor, set all his wisdom & knowledge into five large stones in an area hidden from their wrath until only “the just prevails, will I return my knowledge again”. The gods understanding his goals, agreed in order to help save the planet. He had also instructed each of the gods to find and entrust his soul into “a mortal who will help the folk restore kindness in each other” 100 years after the reign of dragons ends.

Lineage

As his decree, he entrusted his soul into someone just as brave and kind-hearted as he was in his life, which was then chosen by each of the gods & physically merged into the body of a mortal bugbear faefolk named Uvel Dallavthos, reincarnated into the new, current god, Roe’wyn.

Realm

He originally had no specific place of worship, as to call upon Syprian’s name was to invoke him when needed. Anyone who wished to learn how to harness magic faster would call upon him. Legends say he had various towers and ziggurats placed in specific area all over Amor, but most of these have been lost to time. Recently there have been sightings of them, but are so few and far between, that most are considered inconclusive.

Relations

Daolyn - The first student under Daolyn, he learned & aquired much of His knowledge of the working world into developing not only magic, but its base ingredient, essence, and developed the current magic systems in Amor with it. Respectful as one would be to a teacher, He recognized Daolyn as an astute teacher and learner.

Molimai/Klazoa - A best friend, and at one point a secret affair, He showed Molimai how to work magic, and in turn, Molimai gave the faefolk more unique & innate magic by birthright.

Animage/hephershtu - Akin to a brother, these two were inseparable, and it is said that Syprian was the only one who was ever able to mediate between Animage & His brother. In also teaching Animage how to use ice magic, shadows & darkness to his advantage, he developed a begrudging respect got Syprian. After his sacrifice however, his mourning made him forget all he learned, and has resorted back to his stubborn ways against magic.

Elvaren - Falling in love almost immediately, Syprian showed Her the ways in how to harness water magic to help nature grow, give life to and help mortals in times of need. It is said in his sacrifice, His last thought was of seeing Her again.

Nizoa - Admiring Her menagerie of creatures, albeit intimidated, He had mostly kept his distance towards them, as some monsters appeared mortifying, even for Him.

Worship & Origins

One could argue he was the founder of proper religious rites, as when Syprian showed Amor how to harness essence, he was worshiped and followed wherever he went. Most practices, even for all the other gods, can be traced back to the worship of Syprian.

Holidays

Black 9th - on the 9th of the moonless month, thousands gather around Caderan castle to mourn the loss of Syprian and honor his sacrifice of both himself and all magic in Amor. 9 bell strikes are tolled and the city lays still in utter silence to remember his death.
