“Ah, but I am not here for your commitment, nor your devotion...only us, only here, and only now, in this moment, nothing more...~” - Molimai, The Amorous Amignificarem

Introduction

Going by two separate names, depending on the region, Molimai or Klazoa is an androgynous-presenting trickster god of the sun, fire, light, the fae, chaos, thievery, luck & lust. He is also responsible for the Glasloor Moon (The Green Moon). Because of his insatiable lust, he also has the most mortal children (its been rumored that he's slept around with so many people, there's a chance you might be one of his descendants!). Cunning, calculated & sly, this god is the reason the phrase "it's better to beg for forgiveness than it is to ask permission" even exists in Amor.

Physical Description

While he can be perceived as any gender, he is generally masculine presenting, save for some naturally long lashes. His hair is windswept & a bright gradient from shining yellow to a deep red akin to fire with a fanciful diadem as his crown. One strand in a small ponytail wrap, with his goatee similarly following suit. with four arms, pointy nails & glowing, bright-yellow skin. on his feet are soft, brown, pointy shoes, with long blue socks up to his knees. His sole article of clothing is a long red tunic with golden accents tied around his waist by a small rope.

Personality

Cunning, conniving & sharp, he is almost one step ahead of any mortal. With an insatiable libido that lasts longer than anyone cares to admit. At times, its been known to cause downfalls for him (Depending on how well you are with him, he might make it worth your while). So long as you show little to no interest in his twin brother, and if he decides you're even worth his time, he may grant you his presence. He will understand if intimacy if not to your liking, and instead take time to speak with you. Regardless, heed this warning: he can be a bit much for anyone & infamous for twisting words & exposing loopholes.

Powers

Molimai is able to shapeshift into large predators, specifically tigers. Though it is not uncommon for him to appear in the form of reptiles, birds or even appear as a faefolk himself. A good rule of thumb is the flashier, the more likely. He is also able to create & dowse fires & light, and grant anyone the ability to both shine light or breathe fire at will. Though these powers are not given lightly, given Amor's history. Anytime someone sees his in his main visage, he almost -always- levitates; last time he touched ground was at Psylaris, and that did not end well.

Possessions

The Solaris Diadem

While His hair seems to appear like fire, his permanent levitation comes from this item. Anyone who wears it is able to swim thru the open air like water without any other assistance.

Tunic of Transformation

It is said that this piece, when worn and attuned to a mortal, is able to either change their humanoid appearance in almost any way they wish, or shapeshift into one of Molimai's animals; usually a tiger, but it is not unheard of to change into a flamboyant bird or reptile. Be warned however, this is His -only- garment that keeps Him decent, and while he's not afraid to flash others to get it back, if its non-consensual, you're toast.

Ignition Gauntlets

These bands are said to be an arcane focus for Molimai, but anyone who can attune to them is said to control fire "...The way ribbons dance from a performer [...] Thru precise control & form". Too lackadaisical with them & it's possible the whole continent could burn down.

Realm

While Molimai can be anywhere at any time, there are two main locations he dwells; both the Haven & Erghen Woods; as these also function as portals to get to each side of the continent also known as a faeline, much to the dismay of his twin brother. Specifically, he needs no dwelling, for as the creator of the faefolk, he is welcomed by most everyone in the courts. So long as this faeline exists, he is content with dwelling.

Relations within the pantheon

Daolyn - Molimai sees Him as a stick-in-the-mud; books & learning could never replace real experiences & emotions. He does respect him the way a child would a teacher, and is always astounded at how much Daolyn actually knows; He's the one to snitch on him to others when asked.

Elvaren - The one deity Molimai actually has romantic feelings for, she's the only one Molmai trusts with his secrets & vulnerable emotions. While he does become agitated whenevr his twin brother is picked as her consort for the year, he understands the delicate balance on Amor & respects her wishes.

Animage/Hepheshtu - Molimai's twin brother and arch-nemesis, as He represents everything Molimai detests with mortals. While they loathe each other, there are times when they'll need to work together & put aside their differences. Whenever this happens however, only severe, catastrophic danger could force these two to align.

Roe’wyn - Unlike Syprian, Molimai sees them as a runt, a shell of what Syprian could do. While He still acknowledges Them as the new arcane deity, Molimai only respects Them in front of the rest of the pantheon.

Nizoa - To say these two are frenemies would not be far off, as believe it or not, giant monsters & tiny faefolk don't get along well with each other. However, so long as the fae courts are undisturbed, monsters are indifferent to Him.

Syprian - Molimai's best friend, and even secret lover at one point. In Syprian showing him how magic works, He added a dash of Syprians secrets into the faefolk, giving them all more magic coursing thru them than any other sentient beings. It is said that in Syprian's sacrifice, it was the first and only time Molimai had ever felt bereavement for another soul beside his own.

Worship

There are two branches of hierarchy for Molimai's worship; celibate & promiscuous, with the only difference being whether or not one chooses intimacy with others or not. This can be changed at any time, for any reason. All clergy are to respect the decision of the individual.

Most worship Molimai via pleasure-seeking; this can be done thru any form in any way, so long as the follower enjoys themselves while doing so. Once a follower has achieved what can only be described as 'the State of Flow', there is a chance Molimai may appear to them. Small chapels near places such as casinos, brothels & even sporting events are placed, with each hosting a small, open area with a statue of Molimai, and a secondary room kept locked, wherein if the follower requests it, they may practice noncommittal intimacy with one of the promiscuous acolytes. sconces are always lit to indicate his presence & regardless of whichever path, cooking oils, wine & other pleasures may be consecrated here for hedonistic use; Most folk agree, when its blessed by Molimai, it just tastes better.

Almost all chapels contain a small garden, usually growing lemons, olives & grapes, as these are His favorite offerings. It is also considered lucky to obtain or give away lemons. In fact, the term "Life gives you lemons" comes from this ancient practice.

Holidays

Agymailos

On the first day of the final week of the Glasloor Moon (The Green Moon), All devoted adult followers of Molimai are invited to participate, with the option of wearing only face-masks & no other clothing, save for some beaded necklaces to hand out to passerby's. The parade participants will then sing & dance with panpipes, drums & lutes, celebrating the consummation of Molimai's first love, agymai, with the route starting at the local chapel.

When the route is complete, those who were masked are then invited back to the chapel, where after some libations, all are encouraged into a three-day long intimate get-together with each other. Those who do not wish to participate are given alternatives, such as large buffets, rousing performances & merchants selling vanity-wear, such as colored silks, off-season consumables & jewelry.
