Rooftop

Environmental Feature

  • Flat roofs

    • Count as normal ground (easy to move across).

    • In snowy or debris‑heavy climates, a GM can treat overloaded flats as uneven ground or even collapsing hazards.

  • Angled roofs

    • Generally treated as uneven ground.

    • If especially steep, treat the surface as an incline, often requiring checks (Acrobatics/Balance) to move safely and making forced movement more dangerous.

    • The peak/ridge of an angled roof is a narrow surface, good for Balance, Shove, and trip dynamics.

  • Moving between roofs

Mechanically, rooftops are ready‑made terrain for chases, ambushes, sniper nests, and vertical puzzles, using existing jump, Balance, and terrain rules.
