Little more than drones, wingbots are piloted by virtual intelligences (VI) programmed to serve clients. Transmitters spaced regularly across most megaplexes allow wingbots to record their constantly running video feeds to their VI “handlers” at all times. The solar panels that line a wingbot's wings allow it to recharge while on the move. Hardline taps also alow them to plug-in to a power grid

Always Watching: Wingbots constantly record and upload feeds via shortwave when within range of a receiver. A wingbot can project a hologram of the live footage they're recording or play back a video of anything they've recorded, which appears in the air nearby as the spell illusory scene Spell DC 11.

Shortwave: Wingbots communicate wirelessly with other constructs and tech devices, transmitting compressed data bursts.

Sunlight Dependency: Wingbots are solar powered; they're perpetually Glitching 1 while in areas of darkness and must recharge daily in direct sunlight, tap into the power grid or risk shutting down completely.

Salvageable Components

On a disabled or lightly damaged wingbot, the party may attempt to Salvage the following components:

Laser Emitter Assembly: Can be refit into a light laser weapon or used as a high‑value Tech crafting component.

Nanite Reservoir & Injector: Holds 1–2 doses of nanites; each dose can be used as a Tech‑targeting toxin (on a hit, Tech creatures become Glitching 1, other creatures take 1d4 poison, Fort DC 13).

Optics & Sensor Suite: Darkvision/low‑light optics and basic motion/heat sensors, suitable for integrating into scopes, helmets, or stationary sensor turrets.

Power Cell: Medium‑grade battery capable of powering a small Tech device for a scene or serving as a crafting/repair resource.

Shortwave Comms Module: Functions as a 100‑foot shortwave transceiver when installed into armor, helmets, or other devices.

Solar Wing Array Panel: Portable solar recharger or material for building more advanced solar rigs.

VI Core / Data Engine: Holds behavior routines and recorded footage; can be interrogated for intel, sold on the black market, or used as a seed for custom VI work.

Special Abilities

Trill ◈◈ (auditory, sonic); The wingbot creates a shrill trilling noise accompanied by disturbing low-level vibrations and electromagnetic pulses tuned to disrupt creatures. Each non-Automaton creature within 30 feet must attempt a DC 13 Fortitude save. The targets then become temporarily immune to the wingbot's Trill for 24 hours.

Failure Creatures with the tech trait become Glitching 1, while non-tech creatures become Sickened 1

Critical Failure As failure, but glitching or sickened 2.

Wingbots are the workhorses of urban surveillance—cheap enough for bulk deployment, smart enough to patrol without a handler breathing down their casing. In Commission‑approved regions, their use is tightly tied to licensing and reputation; no one wants another synthetic uprising kicking off over a hacked swarm of drones.

An Autonomous Wingbot has no root control channel; they only support the owner's personal encryption keys
