Trait

The Tech trait marks equipment, creatures, and hazards that function through electronic systems, powered components, or computerized control. Tech items can be disabled, hacked, drained of power, or affected by abilities that target technology, and often interact with conditions like glitching and damage types such as electricity.

Armor, shields, and weapons with the Tech trait contain integrated power sources, circuits, and processors; they may rely on batteries, internal capacitors, or external power feeds, and can lose functionality if those systems are disrupted. Cybernetic augmentations count as technological rather than magical, but only effects that specifically mention cybernetics can disable or damage them, even if those effects also target technology in general.
