The Oracle's Library
A boundless, non-corporeal expanse of information, code, and forgotten memories. It appears as an impossibly dense, ever-expanding sphere of shimmering data, with ancient texts and holographic projections flickering into existence and then dissolving. Within its depths, the lost knowledge of the universe before the Primordial Cataclysm is meticulously preserved, and the true nature of the Rift itself is slowly, painstakingly deciphered. Beings here are often ethereal, their forms composed of pure data, constantly seeking and processing information.
Cygnus Vault
Cygnus Vault is a cold, desolate world orbiting a dying, weak star, an aesthetic choice that perfectly reflects the Azure Archivists' philosophy of detached, hyper-rationality. Its surface is dominated by sterile, chrome-plated research complexes and vast, automated excavation sites meticulously mining ancient Primordial ruins. The majority of the population lives in deep, subterranean complexes known as Data Vaults, which are massive, climate-controlled archives that serve as both living spaces and endless libraries. The atmosphere is thin and constantly monitored, not for pollution, but for anomalies—any un-modellable variables that could corrupt the scientific rigor of the planet.
Cygnus Vault lies in the Palimpsest Reach Cluster, an Inner Sphere sector dense with overlapping ruins, overwritten star maps, and strata of pre‑Cataclysm infrastructure that the Azure Archivists have slowly brought under direct governance. From here, they administer excavation rights, data-quarantine protocols, and long-range survey fleets, treating the entire cluster as a living laboratory for reconstructing the galaxy’s erased past.
