Construct

A construct is an artificial creature animated by a force other than vitality or void, and it is neither a living creature nor undead. Constructs are often mindless, though not all of them are, and many share broad immunities including bleed, death effects, disease, poison, nonlethal attacks, healing, necromancy, and several conditions such as doomed, drained, fatigued, paralyzed, sickened, and unconscious.

If a construct also has the mindless trait, it typically gains immunity to mental effects as well. Some constructs may have Hardness depending on the materials used to build their bodies, and when a construct creature is reduced to 0 Hit Points, it is usually destroyed rather than dying in the way a living creature would.

In creature design, construct is one of the primary type traits used alongside categories like humanoid, undead, beast, and robot, and it should appear in any stat block for an artificial entity powered by programming, ritual engineering, magitech cores, or similar forces.
