Sense-dulling hoods, filtration masks, and sealed helmets become common gear in sectors where olfactory hazards and pheromone tricks proliferate, trading a bit of perceptual acuity for protection against stench bombs, addictive scent lures, and chemical manipulation. In such places, the ability to smell becomes a sign of vulnerability as much as awareness.
