Adon, the god of death, with his snake at his side
Guiding the souls of the deceased to the other side
But even death must come to an end
And Adon's time on this earth did bend
He lay in the Deadlands, his life at its close
Umantis by his side, his faithful companion chose
To stay with him, until the very end
Until Adon's soul did ascend
But death is never truly gone
It lingers, a shadow at dawn
And so Adon will return, in time
To guide the souls, to their final climb
Until then, we'll remember his name
And the power he wielded, with no shame
For Adon, the god of death, will always be
A part of us, for eternity
Adon, our god, the bringer of death
He guides us through our final breath
With his snake, Umantis, by his side
He takes us to the other side
We worship him, in life and in death
For he gives meaning, with every breath
He is the balance, the yin to the yang
Without him, life would be in tangles, and mangled
So we pray to Adon, every night
Thanking him, for guiding us to the light
For though he may seem grim and cold
He is a part of us, forever behold
So hail Adon, the god of death
May he guide us, with every step
To revive Adon, the god of death
We must first draw a circle, with our breath
Using a knife, we must draw his sigil
To call forth his spirit, from the spectral vigil
We gather the items, of his desire
The snake venom, the blood of a lyre
The bones of the fallen, crushed to dust
And the essence of night, for he must
We lay these items, at the circle's edge
And recite the incantation, with a pledge
To Adon, our god, we summon thee
To return from the void, and be free
As we speak the words, the circle will glow
And Adon's spirit, will begin to show
He may appear, in a form not his own
But do not fear, for he is known
To us, his cultists, who worship and wait
For his return, to seal our fate
So come forth Adon, from the abyss
And join us, in this ritual of rebirth
For I know now, that death is a luxory only mortals dare to enjoy.
A pleasure that us gods do not share, as we are eternal, and so is our suffering.
