Runeshroud is a small farming settlement nestled in The Ancients' Forest. Situated on the western end of the forest, relatively close to the edge, it is usually the first settlement people reach when they enter the area. It also serves as the main location for the Runebound Adventuring Guild, who operate from the biggest building in town, their headquarters.

History

Runeshroud has been a part of the forest for as long as its denizens can remember. Originally founded by Mitsige of the Spiritclaw clan as a settlement for Kitsune in The Divine Era, the settlement has been one of the few places where the ancestry gathers.

Architecture

The architecture in Runeshroud is quite simple. Walls are made of wood, reinforced with stone, and roofs of the hay farmed from its farms. A brittle wooden fence surrounds the town, protecting it from any animals trying to steal its harvests.
