A rare and peculiar phenomenon, Yurrig are automatons and androids inhabited by Souls that have been drawn to mechanical vessels. These unique entities are found primarily in Taeavor, where remnants of ancient technology endure.
Eons ago, during the era of Eterna - The Heartworld, the Fehralin created advanced automatons equipped with artificial intelligence. Many of these machines were preserved in underground facilities and survived the destruction of The Material Plane. Over time, some were unearthed and became viable vessels for wandering Souls.
When a Soul is called to such a vessel, it undergoes a violent and transformative Focusing, merging with the machine body. This process erases memories and experiences, effectively creating a new consciousness. The resulting Yurrig is a unique individual, blending the ancient technology of their vessel with the vitality of a newly reborn Soul.
