Taeavor is a tidally locked planet. As such, it does not spin, and the sun is in a fixed position in the sky.

The Veil is the name given to the phenomenon that blocks out the sun for 12 hours a day, creating a day and night cycle.

It is now known that the sun is Eleriwen, and the object that moves around it is Arshi.
