The Crimson Tide, Rebel Warrior, The Stormbringer
Category: Veilsworn
Areas of Concern: War, Rebellion, Storms, Retribution
The worship of Urivath is decentralized, thriving in hidden coves, rebel hideouts, and the decks of storm-tossed ships. His faith is not housed in grand temples or structured hierarchies but carried in the hearts of those who resist oppression. Worshippers gather in secret, carving his sigil—a crimson tide surging over a shattered chain—into stone, wood, or even their own flesh as a symbol of their devotion. His faith is a living rebellion, passed through whispered oaths, songs of defiance, and the blood spilled in the name of freedom.
Urivath’s clergy, known as The Stormforged, are not priests in robes but warriors, sailors, and insurgents who lead by action. They wield steel and fire, inspiring others to rise against their oppressors. There is no formal ranking among them; respect is earned through deeds, not titles.
Some take on the role of Tidecallers, those who read the winds and waters for omens of coming conflict, interpreting Urivath’s will through the storms he sends. Others become Crimson Heralds, carrying his message across lands and seas, arming the desperate and teaching them the ways of guerilla warfare. A few, known as The Drowned, undergo the sacred rite of being submerged in stormy seas, emerging as feared warriors who claim to hear Urivath’s voice in the waves.
Instead of structured worship, followers invoke Urivath before battle with rituals of bloodletting, swearing oaths over saltwater and steel, or throwing shackles into the sea to call upon his favor.

Topple Tyranny: Devotees are sworn to resist oppression wherever it rises, whether through armed revolt, sabotage, or whispered conspiracies.
Defend the Downtrodden: It is not enough to fight tyranny; the faithful must also protect those too weak to fight for themselves.
Never Kneel to Injustice: Worshippers of Urivath do not bow to false kings or unjust laws. They are the storm that shatters chains.
Die on Your Feet, Not Live on Your Knees: A warrior’s death in rebellion is the highest honor, and those who betray the cause for comfort or cowardice are forsaken.
Heed the Signs of the Tide: Urivath speaks through storms, wrecked ships, and the whispers of drowned souls—his followers must learn to read these omens.
Urivath was once a mortal—a fearless sailor and rebel leader who defied a tyrant’s rule. Betrayed by his own comrades, he was executed upon the crashing waves, his body cast into the sea as a warning to others. In death, he rose anew, clad in a storm-wreathed mantle of crimson and steel, his soul reforged by vengeance and the fury of the ocean. Now, Urivath answers the prayers of the oppressed, guiding rebels with just causes and stirring the tides of battle against tyranny. His storms wreck the fleets of despots, and his divine winds fill the sails of those who dare defy unjust rule.
Urivath's holy symbol is a crimson tide surging over a shattered chain, representing the unstoppable force of rebellion breaking the bonds of oppression.
