The Garminian human people, called the M么rdari (people of the eastern sea) by the elves began settling in eastern Asdar around 3900 a.e. Hailing from various lands to the east, the Garminians were drawn to Asdar as traders. The Garminian humans were not one people, as they were seen by the Elves, but rather various human peoples who settled in eastern Asdar, most speaking a similar tongue. The Garminians began forming a town around the mouth of the river G芒ns, trading with the Elves of Avelon. Though first peaceful, as they grew ever more numerous, these menn would make war on the Elves and push them and their forests fra inland.
The Garminian humans are now the dominant population of the Republic of Genetsa, the economic powerhouse of Asdar, and their language has become synonymous with trade.
