Non-Faction Group Overview: The Shield

While not a standalone faction, the Shield is composed of willing volunteers from all groups to act independently or in concert against great threats to Osterra.

Based at the stronghold of Haven, Shield members watch over the Temple of Light, train new recruits and pledge adherence to the following tenets:

• Aid those in need when possible, no matter their faction;

• Answer the call to service and protection when called upon;

• Protect Haven, the Temple of Light and its relics;

• Not to raise a hand against another Shield member unless in defense of one’s faction or to protect the defenseless;

• Work with all factions to warn Haven, the Sentinels and the Council of rising threats to the Realm.

Together with Knights of the Realm, the Shield also guards meetings of the Council, Sentinels, and others when convening at Haven.
