The Cast

Background:

The Cast was created with the primary aim of protecting the innocent and those who are unable to defend themselves from beings with ill intent. The group was originally formed by Sir Tanos Hrafnar the Bold and several members of the kingsguard that he led in his home realm, before they were all unexpectedly brought to Osterra. They specifically ventured to serve the eastern lands of the former Kingdom of Nova Regnus, which were un-supported at the time of the group’s creation. This was fortuitous, as the eastern peninsula was cut off from the rest of Nova Regnus by the emergence of a Demonic Dominion only months after The Cast traveled there. Along with defending lands on Nova Regnus, The Cast was the first faction to begin exploring Mundus Ferox because they hoped it could be a safe place to evacuate those on the peninsula to, should it be overtaken by the demon threat to the west.

With the unification of the populations they protected into the Kingdom of Eponore, The Cast has agreed to stay and continue protecting these peoples, acting as the military under whatever monarch they install.

Along with the defense of the eastern lands, The Cast has made a point to actively promote the study and eventual control of the portals of Osterra, hoping to aid any who were unwillingly displaced by the portals with returning to their own realm.

Leadership:

The Cast is lead by Knight Commander Sir Tanos Hrafnar the Bold, who turns to those he leads for council and will often follow the majority decision of the group for important matters.

Look and Feel:

While the original group was based on knightly Arthurian fantasy, the group currently has no one defined look. Current member aesthetics include plated knights, woodland rangers, elven warlocks, Viking hunters, Witchers, and more. While not required, many often wear blacks, yellows, & blues. They can be identified via the sigil of a winged sword and crown appearing somewhere on their person.

What type of players/play style might enjoy this faction:

The Cast welcomes those who are relaxed and interested in mutually uplifting fun. We value immersion, and enjoy both fighting and roleplay, but not at the expense of others.

How is the Roleplay and Combat Focus in the faction:

Roleplay:

The group strives to be as immersive as possible, but not at the expense of safety or fun. They will help those that want heavy roleplay find or make it, but will not force roleplay on other players.

Combat:

Many of The Cast enjoy combat and will seek out combat scenarios and challenges, however they do not put competitive combat above a preference for an immersive experience, the roleplay of others, or mutual fun.
