Orcs of Osterra take many sizes and forms, each aligning themselves to different factions, leaders, and deities. However, this section of the Osterrian guide to Creatures and Beings of the Realm is dedicated to the marauding groups of Orcs who reside throughout the less inhabited portions of Osterra. These Orcs revel in combat, often surviving on looting passersby and raiding nearby villages. This does not mean they cannot be reasoned with; just that it may be difficult since they value trial by combat more than logic and reasoning. Their armor and weapons vary widely, but often their gear is pieced together from stolen, sometimes rotting, armor and weapons. This means it only takes a few swings of the common sword to defeat the grunts of the groups. Typically, one swing will shatter their piecemealed armor, a second swing will rough up their hard skin, and a third will dispatch them.
