The Demon Guards, seen mostly in this realm as the members of the Black Caravan that rode with Azreionous are some of the most challenging of foes Osterrans have ever met. They are known to take disguise with incredible ease, and once used those disguises to sell trinkets to inflict the evils that they had the most control over. An adventurer purchased a gem from one of them, and later went into a flying fit of rage at the first sight of combat. These creatures hail from the other side of The Ebon Gate, most likely damned souls sent to protect the other demons after the death of Festar. They cannot be harmed by the common sword, only magical or holy weapons give any chance of defeating these foes. As more research comes in, it may be possible that magical spells may affect them as well. Either way, these magical and holy weapons are much more effective, but the Demon Guards still have an incredible resistance to all except the holiest of blades. The Demon Guards take much more than a single warrior to defeat.
