Minotaurs in Osterra are rare occurrences, half man and half bull, they are often created by expert Magi to protect a land or a space in a dungeon. They are loyal to a fault to their creators, and will roam the area they were assigned to protect for hundreds, sometimes thousands of years, after the death of their masters. They are incredibly formidable enemies, using what is estimated to be the strength of five men to swing large weapons through waves of adventurers. Minotaurs cannot be reasoned with, and will be immediately aggressive upon sight of “intruders”. Their tough hide and innate warrior spirit means that ten to fifteen swipes of the common blade can defeat. They attack with great recklessness, so a party of warriors typically have little trouble, but they can easily defeat a couple adventurers. Strangely enough, there have been some cases of Minotaurs relinquished from their duties by their Magi. Although exceedingly rare, they typically live their lives out in peace, other with the Magi as a personal guard or in small cabins in the wilderness.
