The World After the Fall

The Skyward Citadel has fallen.
The kingdom is occupied.
Dragonriders are hunted, and the sky belongs to the enemy.

You were students when it happened.

You survived—not because you were chosen, but because you ran.

The World Now

In the years since the fall, the Ascendancy has taken control of much of the region. Clad in white and gold, they claim their rule saved the world from disaster. Their temples stand in every major city, and their laws are enforced with calm certainty.

Many believe the Ascendancy brought peace where chaos once grew.

Others whisper that something vital was taken when the dragons disappeared.

Quiet resistance exists. Some call them Wardens, though few speak the name openly.

Most people simply try to live their lives under the new order.

Your Place in It

You were students of the Dragonrider Academy (Skyward Citadel) when it burned.

You escaped the night the sky went dark.

The dragons are gone.
The riders are scattered or dead.
And the world has learned to live without them.

But if the sky is ever to be reclaimed, it will not be through armies or titles.

You must walk the old paths, face the dangers the academy once feared, and earn the right to be seen by dragons again.

Only then might the sky belong to someone else.
