The Bushwhackers are a group of adventurers from the Ludos Adventuring Guild : Flower Rock division that are known for winning the Garish Goat Competition during the most recent Great Goat Festival.
Adventures: Season 1
The adventuring party soon to be known as the Bushwhackers answered the call of Herbaceous to help with a wild, giant frog that had started to terrorize the Vestrine Woods. They ended up negotiating with a mystical creature, Fiaia, and building a frog pond in the Estates District. They also promised to take the retired ranger to the Feywild one day.
The Bushwhackers responded to an animal messenger’s call for the rescue of Gorfan who had been trapped underground beneath Deep OldLair by the mechanical Modrons. His life force was being used to power a device made to ward off the presence of an gargantuan, legless, wingless wyrm in the caverns. The behemoth was starting to break through the barrier and the group whisked him away before he was eaten.
The group traveled to the Everwoe Fens, meeting their patron, Elder Elm, at the Stone Outpost to investigate the cause of the Fensickness that was continuously poisoning the swamp waters. Despite efforts to purify the area, the effect kept returning. The Bushwhackers hired Drusilla as their guide and ended up at a pixie village who reported that the troubles started during a party one night, when they saw the full moon turn into a snake with many heads.
Towards the center of the Everwoe Fens, the Bushwhackers battled with a band of hobgoblins invading the swamps before stumbling upon the entrance to an underground temple. A group of Yuan-ti had lured a hydra into their care and used it to create and enhance the Fensickness in order to purge the swamp and claim the territory as their own.
After a harrowing fight, the party regrouped before returning to negotiate with the hydra itself to end the poisoning. Others are now not allowed passage through the Fens without leaving offerings to the creature and permission was granted for Elder Elm and the Stone Outpost to safely remain.
