Requirements to Unlock Higher-Tier Keystones

NOTE: Your standing with the Guild Accord, built through deeds and interactions, heavily influences whether you’re granted access to higher-tier keystones. This reputation is tracked in-game, and players need to maintain positive standing by adhering to guild rules and helping fellow delvers.


Foundling's Keystone (Level 2)

A basic, entry-level keystone for new delvers. Affordable and accessible, it’s the first step for any adventurer seeking to join the Guild Accord.

Features: Identification only, no upgrade slots.

Effect: Provides identification as a licensed delver and allows access to dungeons managed by the Guild Accord.

Prerequisites:

  • Register with the Guild Accord as a licensed delver.

  • Complete a basic training course provided by the Guild Accord, covering safety protocols, dungeon navigation, and guild regulations.

  • Pass an entrance test, which might involve solving puzzles, demonstrating survival skills, and proving basic combat abilities.

Acquisition Method: The Foundling's Keystone is awarded upon successful registration and completion of training.

Adventurer's Keystone (Level 5)

A keystone designed for more experienced delvers. It offers additional features and the ability to hold a single upgrade slot, making it ideal for those who are beginning to encounter more complex dungeons.

Features: Identification, 1 upgrade slot.

Effect: Provides identification as a licensed delver and allows access to dungeons managed by the Guild Accord.

Prerequisites:

  • Reach level 5 and demonstrate competence by completing at least two officially recognized dungeons with a registered delving party.

  • Gain a recommendation from a senior delver or guild representative who witnessed your abilities.

  • Donate a portion of your loot to the Guild Accord, symbolizing your commitment to the delving community.

Acquisition Method: Apply for an upgrade at a Guild Accord outpost. This requires both the donation and the recommendation, alongside a monetary fee. The upgrade also involves a ritual that attunes the keystone further, carried out by a guild enchanter.


Wanderer's Keystone (Level 8)

This keystone is a significant investment for seasoned adventurers. It’s enhanced with powerful enchantments and holds two upgrade slots, offering flexibility and utility for dangerous expeditions.

Features: Identification, 2 upgrade slots.

Effect: Provides identification as a licensed delver and allows access to dungeons managed by the Guild Accord.

Prerequisites:

  • Successfully complete at least five significant dungeons, three of which must involve closing rifts, clearing major threats, or recovering rare artifacts.

  • Pass a specialized guild challenge tailored to test your adaptability and teamwork in unexpected dungeon conditions (e.g., shifting layouts, time-sensitive objectives, or harsh environments).

  • Forge or enhance an existing artifact, integrating it into your keystone as part of its upgrade.

Acquisition Method: Attend a special Guild Accord ceremony where your accomplishments are formally recognized. You receive the upgraded keystone after proving your capability through the guild challenge.

Trailblazer’s Keystone (Level 11)

A high-tier keystone with exceptional capabilities. With three upgrade slots and advanced features, it’s a coveted item among veteran delvers and dungeon masters alike.

Features: Identification, 3 upgrade slots.

Effect: Provides identification as a licensed delver and allows access to dungeons managed by the Guild Accord.

Prerequisites:

  • Complete at least three legendary or particularly perilous dungeons, ideally with a renowned delving party or on behalf of the Guild Accord.

  • Recover or safeguard a powerful relic tied to the Voidborn or a similar ancient threat, and present it to the guild for study or containment.

  • Establish a favorable reputation with the guild’s inner circle, possibly through diplomacy, contributions, or strategic alliances.

  • Pass an elite-tier guild trial that tests your leadership, endurance, and problem-solving skills under immense pressure.

Acquisition Method: The Trailblazer’s Keystone is granted by one of the Guild Accord’s high-ranking members, typically during a formal recognition event. This keystone is often personalized to reflect the delver’s achievements and reputation.


Paragon’s Keystone (Level 14)

The pinnacle of delving keystones, this item is rarely seen outside of the most prestigious adventuring guilds. With four upgrade slots and unmatched abilities, it’s a symbol of the greatest delvers in Eldranis.

Features: Identification, 4 upgrade slots.

Effect: Provides identification as a licensed delver and allows access to dungeons managed by the Guild Accord.

Prerequisites:

  • Achieve legendary status within the Guild Accord by either leading multiple successful expeditions, closing high-tier dungeons, or uncovering a hidden truth about the dungeons’ origins.

  • Forge a bond with a powerful entity—such as a celestial warden or a dormant guardian spirit—that grants their blessing and enhances the keystone’s power.

  • Complete a world-changing quest, such as thwarting a Voidborn resurgence, sealing a world-threatening rift, or recovering an artifact that shapes the course of history.

  • Undergo a final test, overseen by the Guild Accord’s most esteemed members. This could be a dangerous solo dungeon dive or a high-risk group mission with limited resources.

Acquisition Method: The Paragon’s Keystone is bestowed during a secretive, invitation-only ceremony. Few ever reach this level, and those who do are treated as legends within the delving community. The keystone is a powerful, customized relic that symbolizes their status.
