Brief Lore of The Forbidden Marches Campaign Setting.

The lore and history of this campaign is based on the official Forbidden Lands lore. However, the biggest difference is that this game implements the events of the Raven's Purge Campaign Book, and then sets the stage 50 years after those events.

If you have not played Raven's Purge, do not worry, it is not necessary to be able to play and understand this campaign. It is merely a means to set up this west march campaign within the official lore while also providing players a unique story.

In addition, Raven's Purge has several conclusions which could unfold depending on the players choices - This campaign does not fully specify exactly which 'ending' took place in our timeline. All we know is that it was the catalyst for a second Bloodmist.
