The Exuviant is a semi-immortal being born of and blessed by Ulong Lai / Summer (and by extension, Xurhuan Zhi / Elysia, though the other Dragon Lords / Laiwang may not recognize this claim).

As Ulong Lai / Summer's being is inherently tied to the Pillars (primarily of course Summer's Domain, though that was destroyed), some vestiges of the Ecdysiast will persist even through death - so long of course as Xurhuan Zhi / Elysia's principles of order and sanity still hold.
