Ferragon [sicarius ferox] are an extraterrestrial, bipedal mammalian race. They evolved in the subterranean jungle tunnels of planet Ferros. They have a very fractured society and can be highly political. Having evolved to survive extremely harsh atmospheres, they remain despite their near extinction and the dangers their planet poses them. Their species possesses a harsh attitude, making them disliked amongst most others in the galactic community and prone to competition within their own kind. Despite this, their relatively high intellect makes them valued among scientific circles.

Ferragon have distinctive 'head vents' on their foreheads. It is hairless, thin skin evolved to detect chemicals in the air to be analyzed by extra-sensory organs above the brain called napoules. (Nay.pyools) The species can withstand unbelievably low air quality.

Ferragon feet have large toes and claws for climbing stone and spreading over sand. Their ankles are strong to avoid breakage.

The ferragon mouth is enormous, as evolved from a need to feed on anything it could find. The tongue is exaggerated in turn, sleeving into itself to fit within the maw when closed and extending to uncover the throat. Large 'pores' line the underside to produce highly lubricant saliva to assist in the swallowing of large prey.

Planet Ferros.

Ferros is a large, rocky, garden planet with a surface primarily hot and arid. In its pre-history, constant rainfall carved out a large layer of its subterrain into a complex cavern network. There are holes so deep that their sun still manages to reach nearly the bottom when in the right place. It has allowed for life even in the deep.

The subterrain is largely humid and covered in vegetation that draws energy from alternative sources, with the majority of life clustered around the bottom of the Sun-falls. Water floods much of the bottom layers of Ferros' crust, providing minerals and sustenance to a wide variety of strange, subterrainean life, including Ferragon society, which has largely relocated underground since the surface of the planet has become less hospitable.
