Formed as a people's militia to confront the demonic threat, the Demon Hunters proved themselves as steadfast astral-warriors and soon became legends. To increase their effectiveness, they embarked on radical alchemical transformations to alter their very nature. Now, having banished the demons – and with both the League’s Church of Light and Empire’s Triune Church condemning their methods – the Hunters are in decline. Fewer recruits endure the brutal training at their shattered base on Kyrah, and fewer remain willing to continue their celestial slaying for a living.
