My Behavior

You can expect me to treat you with respect and address you by your preferred name. I will try really hard to use your pronouns but if you have a deep voice and female pronouns or vice versa, it might be hard for me to always get it right since we don't use video or other cues. I promise to try and don't mean anything if I get it wrong.

I won't talk politics or culture, and you aren't allowed to either. Your personal beliefs are your own business. If you can't help do so, then you'll need to leave the table.

You can share your religion, especially if you want to explain why you can't make a particular game date BUT IT IS NOT REQUIRED. You can just say, "I have a holiday and can't make next Saturday." No proselytizing or knocking other player's religion.

I will try to accommodate your player backgrounds but how much will vary on the particular premise and your particular background (see the particular game options). If your background is that you are from the outer planes and want to get back there, that's fine but don't expect any in-game content to support that. That would be a "something I want to do when the campaign is over". Some background story hooks might not fit a particular premise very well and not get used much or at all. We will discuss your backgrounds, and I will make suggestions to avoid this, though.

I will be on time and let know when I have to cancel a session as soon as possible (days ahead of time unless it is an illness).

I am flexible. In PF2E terms, there will be downtime so you can retrain your character and for most things, there will be no in-game cost other than time. Early on if you don't like your character build, you can redo it without any downtime. If you get tired of a PC, you can switch it and come back in at same level with comparable gear. Same holds if your PC dies or has an in-game reason for leaving the party.

I will explain my rulings. We will generally do a quick rule look up if necessary (PF2E is complex) but once I rule, I expect us to proceed without further discussion in the game. We can discuss it after game in discord. You are free to look things up and post a link during the game, but I don't want to spend more than 3-5 minutes on a ruling in game.

I will tend to favor the players in a ruling, but I may say a particular ruling does not set precedent because I want to research it more later and may change the ruling afterward.

What does that mean? It means, I will be more lenient during the game to keep things moving but may decide to change the ruling after the game. It doesn't mean we will undo something. It just means, the next time it might not work that way.
