Collision: We Die Together
/

This is not earth

This is not earth, nor is it any fantasy world you know. There are no humans, no elves, no dwarves. The laws of physics and chemistry are different or absent all together. This is a realm driven by story and myth, where legends are reality writ large. The days are 32 hours long, the realm is flat and rests in the boughs of a great world tree, currency is rare (and usually has some utility), alcohol is a rarity (for lack of germ theory), barter is the norm, technology has progressed differently thanks to the diverse utility of plants and organisms within the realms, and so on and so on.

Foundlings are altruistic

Foundlings are not stupid. They know that being selfish or cruel is the fast track toward being branded a repudiate, and being shunned by all foundlings; and being alone means death. They work together toward the greater good, because to do otherwise is to ensure their own demise.

Sustenance is not universal

Foundlings best derive sustenance from very different sources from each other. Food can nourish their bodies, but it is a poor substitute for their true craving, and many foundlings only partake of food or beverages on special occasions, or when offered a delicacy.

Sex and gender are fragmented concepts

Many fysiologies entirely lack sex organs, leaving the questions of gender and sexuality a murky subject. For the sake of this game it will not be particularly relevant, as sex is not something Collision is interested in depicting.

Femininity and masculinity still exist in part thanks to the dichotomy between the sibling primordials Hyrrhorn and Hrím. Despite this, many foundlings will default to gender neutral presentations, reflecting Brimir, the first one, Allmother and Dreamfather, genderless source of the Dreaming and the Seeming alike.
