House Sivis — Services & Prices

"That message you sent last week? The one where you called your business partner a 'trusted friend'? I notarized it. I also notarized the one you sent the week before, where you called him a 'useful idiot.' I don't adjudicate truth. I authenticate. Those are very different things."

Mark: Scribing | Guilds: Notaries Guild, Speakers Guild | Symbol: The Cockatrice

House Sivis is the dragonmarked house of the Mark of Scribing. Where other houses move people, goods, or force, Sivis moves information — securely, precisely, and without allegiance. A stonespeaker operating a speaking stone does not simply cast whispering wind — they draw on the mark through the stone network continuously, routing messages faster and farther than any individual could manage, in the same way a Cannith magewright draws on an arcane forge rather than casting fabricate by hand.

On availability: Standard message station services are available at dozens of Sivis outposts. Services requiring the Greater Mark — including sending — are available only at major enclaves. At the Dragon Towers station in Sharn, the largest in the city, only two gnomes bear the Greater Mark, and even with dragonshard reservoirs the power can be used only a handful of times per day.

Prices are listed in gold pieces (gp) unless otherwise noted.

What House Sivis Will and Won't Do

The house will: Serve any client with coin and no disqualifying legal status, regardless of nationality. Authenticate, translate, archive, and transmit. Certify documents regardless of content, provided the content is not an active crime.

The house will not: Fabricate, alter, or destroy records. Share the contents of messages without lawful compulsion. Take sides. A client who attempts to leverage Sivis infrastructure against one party in a conflict will find their contract reviewed.

Oversight maintains active awareness of any contract that approaches these lines. Bribery attempts are recorded. Clients who push too hard may find their requests deprioritized, their correspondence flagged, and their names noted in a file that does not expire.

"Sivis records what is presented and certifies authenticity, not truth. A statement recorded as given is a statement recorded as given. Sivis does not adjudicate, and it will not be asked to."

VIII. Mediation, Legal Representation & Specialist Counsel

The Canon trains the finest barristers in Khorvaire. A Canon license is proof of expertise and impartiality; few clients would engage counsel without one. The Canon's curriculum covers Dhakaani law as a historical specialty — if a party of adventurers finds themselves accused of a crime in Volaar Draal, a Sivis heir is technically prepared to represent them. The house does not recommend testing this.
