In the event that two characters actions clash, a Contested Ability Check may be required. The two characters make their appropriate Ability Check, except instead of overcoming a Difficulty Class, they must overcome the opposing characters Ability Check total result. If the total results in a tie, there is a neutral result. For example, if two characters are pushing each other, and a tie is met, neither will move from their place. If the contest is to snatch an item quickly, neither grab it, and instead, the GM could have the two clash physically, forcing another roll or encouraging a character to concede. The GM may contextualize checks to ensure the game remains fun and interesting.
