"We're into the endgame now..."

Only a few encounters stand between you and the end of the campaign - 1 or 2 sessions after tonight at the most. There are a few mechanical odds and ends I want to memorialize before we get into the heat of battle.

You've all been given a number of very powerful items which should come in handy. However, they are not unlimited:

  1. Please keep track of your remaining ammunition on your ray guns and any other powerful weapons you might have picked up along the way. Diminishing resources are fun!

  2. Your fireproof suits are probably protection against dragonfire, but they won't last forever. Going forward, we will use a DDM-like mechanic. Since you've all used them once, your "score" stands at 2. Any time the suit protects you from fire, roll 1d10. If you roll over your score, the suit survives and add 1 to the score. If you roll under, the suit disintegrates in the fire, you take half damage, and it's gone for good.

  3. You've got some sweet loot lurking in your inventory. Have you remembered it all?

  4. Ditto for your class features. It's your responsibility to remember to use them!


Greer the Betrayer and Shiv Drinkstep - I'm 99% sure I've communicated some benefits that come from attunement of your magic items. I'll assume you remember unless you reach out for a refresher.

Those of you will copies of the rules should familiarize yourself with the rules around so-called "Boss Monsters," so it doesn't seem like I'm making up new stuff as I go.

If there's anything that needs to happen for you to feel satisfied and or experience closure before we wrap, make sure I know about it now so I can plan.

If any PC dies from now until the end, I'll work with that player to figure out something fun for you to do - there are a couple of NPCs who could make a surprise re-appearance (Skarrow? Someone from the Thunderfolk? Bess Ashglade?) or maybe William Dune shows up. I'm not going to pull any punches but I'm also not going to strand you to be bored.
