Ahmed al-Jabiri had a promising career in Ba’athist
Iraq. He likely would have been content to change his allegiance to whatever puppet the Americans put in power once Hussein was gone. When the Americans put him on the street, he eventually joined many of his peers in Al-Qaeda in Iraq and then ISIL.
