Operation - GRAY GARDEN

In order to operate in another “ groups” territory we have been asked a “favor” of the usual flavor. See details attached.

While your original mission should take precident few days off course shouldn't be the end of the world, right? Anyways, this gives us the chance to prove we are better.

The usual
Find, destroy, coverup.

Coverstories are on you if you even need them.

What we know

March 23rd 2016

7:09 PM
Night watchmen Markita Padgett (48 YOA) is drawn to the mausoleums by screaming. There, she finds a body, she calls the police, amidst a few knocked over gravestones.

9:19 PM
The John Doe is picked up and due to overcrowding, is moved to the Funeral Parlor where it is stored in a freezer overnight.

March 24th 2016

8:01 AM
Dr. Henrietta Zimmerman is put on the case, since she is nearby, she goes to the funeral home and looks in on the body. It is obviously a suspicious death.

1:01 PM
Dr. Zimmerman completes the autopsy, finishes and files her notes and photos electronically, and goes home to 44 Acacia Rd, London NW8 6AP, UK.

March 25th 2016

8:01 AM
Dr. Zimmerman calls sick into work at the London Medical Examiner. She says she’s suffering from the flu or food poisoning. The man who takes the call (Arthur Murphy 31 YOA) believes her—she sounds horrible. She puts a halt on the John Doe case she was working on and says she’ll “get back to it shortly.” That case is placed on the backburner and forgotten.

March 26th 2016

7:05 PM
Dr. Zimmerman’s brother Karl (35 YOA) calls her home and leaves a message. Henrietta missed their weekly visit with their parents at the Care Home—something she never misses.

March 27th 2016

March 28th 2016

March 29th 2016

6:48 AM
Andrew Castillo Ortiz (43 YOA) resident of Acacia Rd finds that his dog Dinky is gone. In its place is a pool of blood, an upended chain, and little else.

11:49 PM
Grave 5419-9142 at a Graveyard (“Marianne Prudot 1951-1998”) is dug up. The coffin has been ripped open. The body is missing.

March 30th 2016

After days of dropped calls, voice mail messages and questions, Karl Zimmerman calls the LPD to report her sister missing. Questions begin to be asked about her whereabouts. She is officially listed as a missing person.

11:01 AM
Two detectives show up at Dr. Zimmerman’s apartment. They find
it locked, but after gaining access, report it appears “ransacked”. It smells terrible “like a fuckin’ animal den”. Due to Dr. Zimmerman’s friends in the London government, the case is given priority. A crime scene team is brought in.

2:22 PM
The police cannot locate Dr. Zimmerman's’ keys, car or phone. Calls are put in to track and monitor the phone.

5:56 PM
The crime scene team removes seventy-four pounds of “unknown biological material” for examination, including what appear to be hair, nails and teeth.

9:19 PM
Jonathan Bank (21 YOA), A low-level dealer well known in the neighborhood near Acacia St. is attacked. This altercation was seen by many people, though Bank won’t talk about it without coercion. Witnesses describe a person in a long coat “jumping down” from a tree and beating Bank for some time. The person then appeared to rob him and disappeared into the park on foot. Bank will admit nothing except the person took his “phone and other stuff…”

March 30th - April 10th 2016

1:41 PM
Preliminary reports from the police lab identify at least some of the biological material recovered at Dr. Zimmerman’s as “human tissue”. The nails and teeth and most of the hair are from something that does not key any of the genetic tests. If the scientist had to guess, he’d say “dog, bear or some sort of large, predatory mammal.”

April 10th 2016

11:01 PM
Someone rips open a steel fire door in the back of Happy-Go-Lucky Funeral Parlour setting off alarms. The John Doe is stolen.

April 11th 2016

12:21 PM
A police friendly notices the corpse theft at Happy-Go-Lucky Funeral Parlour and alerts Delta Green. They have long been told to be on the lookout for such things.

1:01 AM
Karl Zimmerman receives an odd phone call from someone he is nearly certain is his sister.
Though the voice sounds huskier somehow. Karl records three minutes of the call (see HANDOUTS) before the call becomes incoherent “screeching”.

April 13th 2016

5:41 AM
Someone rattles the front doors at the Spring Grove Care Home, and then, alerting a janitor to come to the door, slides a check through the mail slot and asks for him to put it on the desk. The check is for the upkeep of Roger and Eileen Zimmerman, both in care in the facility. It is dated April 11th. It is signed by Henrietta Zimmerman. The janitor says he couldn’t see the lady (she was backlit by a streetlight) but she was “big”. The police are alerted. No security footage exists.

11:41 AM
A call is placed to Mutual Financial, the company that Dr. Zimmerman’s life insurance policy is secured by. The caller, who knows all of Zimmerman’s information, code phrases and numbers asks many questions. What constitutes an on-policy death? How long does payout take? Can it be paid to other people? This sets off alerts with the missing person’s investigation.

DG TEAM ACTIVATED

A DELTA GREEN TEAM IS ACTIVATED.
Orders:

  • Identify the nature of the John Doe disappearance, and whether it has unnatural origin.

  • If so, locate the threat and eliminate it.

  • Cover up any indications of the unnatural.

April 14th 2016

2:21 AM
A security guard at the London Coroner's Court reports hearing noises on the roof. A search of the roof reveals nothing.

Anyone crawling through hours of surveillance tapes who makes a SEARCH roll, sees a single pair of glowing eyes appear outside the 4th story window.

April 15th 2016

1:09 AM
A car pulls into the Office of the Medical Examiner’s parking lot. It is identifiable as Dr. Zimmerman’s car. She is unaware that area is monitored by camera.

1:12 AM
A figure (large) gets out of the car and vanished from the camera footage. Shortly thereafter the two security guards (Malcom Becher 34 YOA and Emil Notley 51 YOA) are alerted to an alarm on an upper-story window being triggered.

  • They enter the room of the disturbance. Notley is thrown across the room, breaks two ribs. Becher’s hand is severely injured by something like a knife.

  • They are attacked by a “big guy”. Notley is beaten unconscious. Becher, recovering, is dragged about by the assailant, who roughs him up each time he tries to look at “him”. He can only say the perpetrator is incredibly strong and filthy—he smells like a “sewer”.

  • They go to the Office of the Assistant Chief Medical Examiner on the second floor—Becher notes the assailant asked for it by name. In each room, the perpetrator turns off the lights.

  • The thief tells Becher to sit facing the wall. He does so.

  • The thief rifles through the desk looking at various papers.

  • The thief tells Becher that if he turns around he will be stabbed. Becher sits there for over an hour.

  • The assailant leaves the same way “he” came in.

1:31 AM
The video surveillance shows something drop from the second story of the building on to a minivan in the parking lot, crushing it. It then hops down, gets into Zimmerman’s car, and drives off.

Anyone carefully watching the footage notes the thief is holding a very long and thin sheet of paper (approximately 22” long by 8” wide).
