Tian Shi is a large sea within the continent of Vetus Mundi. Tian Shi in the local tongue means "Heavenly Lake", causing much debate as to whether it is actually a sea or a giant lake. It is a huge hub for traders having a ferry that travels around the Sea. The villages that surround the lake are Crescent's Edge, Shakhet, Shikhet, Shigon, and Chugol.

On the other side of the lake, the Caidreach Freehold recognizes the body of water as Lake Esmeray, so named for its deep, dark waters. The lake itself is like a mirror to the moon's radiance, being a quiet, lightless body of water on the new moon, and slowly brightening to match the splendor of the full moon. The people consider it to be a venerable and sacred place, for it provides resources, protection, trade, and even shelter for peoples like the lake elves.
