The Bellow Mire is a desolate, thawing swamp, with a wilderness populated by all things amphibian and reptilian. The Grove has bolstered the area, earning respect through combat with a small but imposing military installation-- quite uncommon for this Faction.
Over the past year, The Grove witnessed the breaking of cycles through the rise of Winter and The Morrigan. Spring would not come freely, given their influence. Facing little choice but to engage the Archfey Winter of the Fey Courts, the Grove appeared in Vetus Mundi to fight back the glaciers in the War of Winter, Rites of Spring 2026.
As a show of force and belief in fighting the Archfey Winter’s encroaching glaciers, the Grove utilized a Teleportation Circle to journey to Vetus Mundi on an anarchic and contested land, its first hex on the continent.
After proving themselves worthy to the warrior Frog Cultists through combat-- defeating their Frog Hydra-- The Grove created a military outpost to drive back Winter’s forces, warming the frozen swamp with mystical fireflies, both in its depths and in its living quarters. This location is strategic, within striking distance of Crossroads, where the barrier to the Fey Realms is thinnest.
The village, like many of its natives, is amphibious, with structures straddling the lands and waters. Once bitter cold, the return of Spring after Winter's defeat has allowed some respite to the residents of the Bellow Mire's inner walls. The hum and warmth of the fireflies is a continual companion and comfort. Someday, perhaps the waters will return to their original warmth.
The Bellow Mire is treacherous. Located between the Choir of End Times, lands held by the nomads of the Orc Lands, and the Forest of Misriki, The Grove will hold this land unless another Faction proves themselves worthy to hold it.
