This Watermill is not the most advanced one and new technology has developed since its construction a century ago, but it gives good results and the family that works here has no complaints about it, they just want to bring food to the table for their kids doing honest work.

It’s powered by a fairly strong river current, bringing fresh water from the mountains. The wheel is placed directly into the river instead of having a controlled diverted flow of water, that’s why the wheel itself can not be stopped. It spins a big cog that makes a stonemill rotate over another one, milling the grain between them. Further adjustment can be done to the gap between the millstones depending on the desired grade of the flour. There is also a lever that engages the cog, which prevents the millstones from eroding unnecessarily.

To make the fine flour that this mill is capable of, they need tons of grain that come in carts from the neighbor fields, making nearby roads pretty busy and kind of susceptible to ambushes.

These villagers are tough and are used to dealing with the thieves, so not many incidents happen anymore.
