A character makes a ranged attack against an opponent not in melee range while in melee range.
Sunder (Reaction): Negate all damage from an attack by destroying a weilded sheild.
The distance between characters inside and outside of combat is characterized by Ranges. They are determined by how many Move actions it would take to reach a character. There are 5 range bands:
Distant. (90ft+)Characters can be seen but are outside of reasonable ranges to interact with a combat.
Far. (90ft) Characters are more than 3 moves away but still within bow-shot
Mid. (60ft)Characters are at least two movements away
Close. (30ft) Characters are less than one movement away. Can move into melee range as a part of an attack.
Melee. (5-10ft) Characters are within melee range and cannot move without their opponent being able to attack them.
