Gurkin is a small port town on the beachfront of Turtlesoup Bay. It connects to a few rural trade routes throughout the Taps, which makes for most of their income. They also tend to a small crab and turtle fishing operation, mostly for local consumption.
The people here seem generally amicable toward strangers and would provide meals and lodgings in trade of news from Hub, Capital City. They have some local customs and festivals pertaining to Peregrine, God of Good Tidings.
There is a small inn called the Hook and Whistle, run by a local merchant who put her teenage son in charge of taking care of it.
