Following the Infernal influences of the Mutated Yellow Root, I have managed to procure a vial of extract from a Vordine, a devil that would put the guard to shame. The subtance radiates cruelty, and is highly corrosive. I am keeping it in a holy flask blessed by a local coven, though even that barely contains the liquid. It is to be handled with extreme caution.
The results have been nothing short of remarkable. When introduced to infected blood samples, the extract appears to be attacking the plague's supernatural components with near impossible precision. Though it only contained the infection, it does suggest that the extract could neutralize the supernatural element of the Plague.
Further research revealed that the extract could be harnessed if combined with the correct stabilizing agent. I hypothesize that, when combined with the Mutated Yellow Root, this extract might offer a solution to the plague's later stage symptoms, the explosive blisters in particular. But I am cautious, though effective in hampering some of the symptoms, this is still not the cure we have been looking for.
