The Barrowfield is so named for the barrow mounds that dot the landscape. The barrow mounds are treacherous places full of extreme danger. However, with great risk comes great reward. It is even said that some may lead into a vast underground dungeon constructed by ancient dwarves to escape the Realm of Faërie.
