Found along the northern coasts of Arune and Befraria, the Hamtusk is a large, waddling semi-aquatic mammal. Naturalists have described their nature as "comedic and charming". They have puffy noses that resonate their calls and bushy mustaches, which many Orosians find cute. However, Hamtusks are deeply territorial and will defend their podmates fiercely, even after one has been slain. They possess a good memory and will remain hostile to hunters they recognize. Their ivory tusks are a popular material for decor and weapons. They naturally shed tusks that have grown too long to impede feeding, though this can take many years.
