I forgot how tedious reading something like this is. Expected for a mechanics-heavy solo game because the whole thing is a procedure, not just a set of rules.

Here's my Level 1 from 2D6 Dungeon. I'd call it more relaxing than fun, but I did burn about 4 hours last night, so it wasn't boring. It is very procedural and a narrative does not come naturally. I think that because of all of the rolls - roll room size, roll number of doors, determine where to put doors, roll room type, deal with room contents (probably with rolls), pick door to leave by and roll if it' locked...

The Tables Codex should be coil bound - you are constantly flipping back and forth, so it would be nice if it could stay on the last table you used. I'll keep playing and finish this dungeon and the lairs book. But don't see really wanting to play it that much. It's a fun time waster if you don't want to think too much. It's very different from DNGN - that's a pre-generated CYOA based on if you met the goals on a card (if A go to card 4, if B go to card 6) so the story is baked in. DNGN doesn't have the replayabilty of 2D6, but it's immersive, once you convince yourself that the triangles are hostile archers and the squares are traps.
